Hello Joe, I might be able to share a tip with you. If you write on the white board with a permanent marker, let it dry and then draw over it with a normal white board marker and it should rub off. Maybe try a little test of it in a corner of your white board. I would also like to indicate that I really enjoy learning from your videos, your explanation and demonstration is outstanding. Workpiece should be at the same temperature for each grind if it really matters. I'm just a clockmaker. WD40 is the best cutting fluid I have found for tungsten micro drills, sure there must be better but it only has to work to be good enough.

Great post my friend. This is likely the most important thing when setting up to use a lathe. If I ever find out who took the piece of metal straping from my tool tray I will declare a hanging, LOL. Hi, Joe! I noticed you center-drilled the hole to the 60-degree section rather than the 118-degree tip. It's my understanding that this is bad practice as it prematurely wears the margins of the drill bit and makes it more likely to walk on you.

I don't think we get wolf spiders up here in my part of Canada but I found a 4" dolomedes tenebrosus (similar looking and sized but actually a fishing spider) in my dog's water bowl. Which was in my bedroom at the time. I don't even live near water, but it was definitely a dock spider 🤷‍♂️. Must have hitched a ride past my house on someone's boat or something. Freaked me the hell out. She looked really pregnant too, managed to get her out of the house but I've been keeping on thinking I'm seeing those baby tarantulas out of the corner of my eye ever since.

Always loved these dudes. If you try to cover them with your hand or press on them they'll definitely bite but even then it's just a little pinch.

Hi Joe, I am not expert in this field but I have a question to ask. is there any way to retread the internal treads of an actuator with rough tread ? these treads are harden to bear heavy load so its not soft metal.

Hmm? How about a chalk board? 1/ No dried markers. 2/ Chalk is cheaper than those marker things. 3/ Chalk has no solvents. 4/ I am yet to be convinced that the fine dust from those marker things is safer to breathe on board erasure than is chalk dust??? 5/ Bits of chalk on the board ledge are ultra available. Usually there are few if any markers available; at least with a strong line. 6 Easy erasure. 7/ When you need to chalk a file a quick trip to the board is all that is required. Perhaps I am missing something, but simpler is almost always better. Be encouraged Joe.

From what I understand, they are not lethal. They are also ground spiders. You don't ever see them much on anything other then the ground most of the time. I've ran into several of them in my lifetime. They are skiddish. They run is they can. I don't think I ever seen one fight back. And they are good for pest control. Unfortunately I can see why people will freak out when they come around.

Listen, I get that most spiders will prefer to run away rather than bite, and they're not actively looking for someone to attack, but that still doesn't make them less creepy.

I onced harmed a wolf spider, and I’ve regretted it ever since. I no longer harm other living beings on purpose unless absolutely necessary or they are german cochroaches, gnats, or fleas.

I did not know that they could eat black widows and brown recluse. Good to know!
